Chicago Firefighter Fundraiser at Tommy’s | April 25 Event
April 25 | 4–8 PM | Norwood Park, Chicago
On April 25, Tommy’s on Higgins is hosting a fundraiser to support the family of Chicago Firefighter Michael.
This is one of those nights where the neighborhood shows up. Not for a promotion or a party, but to stand behind someone who gave everything doing his job.
Michael was a firefighter and EMT with the Chicago Fire Department. He was injured while responding to a fire in Rogers Park and passed away the following day. He leaves behind a family, a crew, and a city that takes care of its own.
This event is about doing exactly that.

Bagpipes, which always hit a little different at events like this
There will be a strong turnout from CFD personnel, along with people from the neighborhood and surrounding areas. During the event, there will be a moment of recognition to honor Michael.
This is not something you want to miss if you’re part of this community.

Parking and Logistics
One important note for anyone planning to drive:
The parking lot will be blocked off for the event
Plan ahead for street parking or a ride.
Capacity is not expected to be an issue, so the focus is just getting people through the door and supporting the cause.

Where the Money Goes
All funds raised from the event will go toward supporting Michael’s family.
The distribution is being handled by Ignite the Spirit, a well-known group that supports Chicago firefighters and their families in times like this.
Tommy’s is hosting the space, but the goal is simple. Raise as much as possible and make sure it gets to the people who need it.
Why This Matters
Chicago has always been a city where people show up for each other. Especially when it comes to firefighters.
Events like this bring together more than just one neighborhood. You’ll see people from all over the city, all for the same reason.
If you’ve ever spent time at Tommy’s, you already know it’s the kind of place that feels local. Nights like this are exactly why.
If you haven’t been before, this is a good time to come by and see what it’s about. You can also check out our post on Top 5 Reasons Locals Love Tommy’s on Higgins to get a feel for the place before you stop in.
