Chicago Firefighter Fundraiser at Tommy’s | April 25 Event
April 25 | 4–8 PM | Norwood Park, Chicago
On April 25, Tommy’s on Higgins is hosting a fundraiser to support the family of Chicago Firefighter Michael.
This is one of those nights where the neighborhood shows up. Not for a promotion or a party, but to stand behind someone who gave everything doing his job.
Michael was a firefighter and EMT with the Chicago Fire Department. He was injured while responding to a fire in Rogers Park and passed away the following day. He leaves behind a family, a crew, and a city that takes care of its own.
This event is about doing exactly that.

Time: 4 PM to 8 PM
Location: Tommy’s on Higgins, Norwood Park
🎟️ $50 at the door
Cash, credit cards, and checks accepted
Food and drinks included for the entire event
All proceeds go to support Michael’s family
If you’re able to give more, you can. A lot of people will be.
What to Expect
This isn’t a quiet event. It’s going to feel like a real Chicago gathering.

There will be a strong turnout from CFD personnel, along with people from the neighborhood and surrounding areas. During the event, there will be a moment of recognition to honor Michael.

The parking lot will be blocked off for the event

Capacity is not expected to be an issue, so the focus is just getting people through the door and supporting the cause.

All funds raised from the event will go toward supporting Michael’s family.
The distribution is being handled by Ignite the Spirit, a well-known group that supports Chicago firefighters and their families in times like this.
Tommy’s is hosting the space, but the goal is simple. Raise as much as possible and make sure it gets to the people who need it.

While Tommy’s is primarily a bar, we welcome guests of all ages during daytime hours to enjoy our delicious food. However, evenings are geared more toward an adult crowd.

Yes! We have several vegetarian-friendly options, including our hummus plate, mozzarella sticks, mac & cheese wedges, and a variety of salads that can be customized. Our cheese quesadilla and veggie-loaded thin-crust pizza are also great choices. While we don’t have a dedicated vegan menu, some items may be modified—just ask your server, and we’ll do our best to accommodate!
