Fundraiser for Steven Decker & Family at Tommy’s on Higgins

Some events are about having a good time. Others are about showing up for people when they need it most.
On Saturday, July 11, Tommy’s on Higgins is partnering with Ignite the Spirit Fund Chicago to host a fundraiser supporting the family of Steven Decker. We invite our friends, neighbors, regulars, first responders, and anyone looking to make a difference to join us for an afternoon of food, drinks, and community.
Chicago has always been a city that takes care of its own. This event is an opportunity to come together and support a family during a difficult time.

We’re proud to be partnering with Ignite the Spirit Fund Chicago, an organization dedicated to helping firefighters, their families, and members of the Chicago Fire Department during times of need.
Over the years, Ignite the Spirit has become known throughout Chicago for stepping up when families need support most. Their work has helped countless members of the firefighting community, and we’re honored to work alongside them for this event.
Their involvement helps ensure that funds raised during the fundraiser are directed where they can make the greatest impact.
Why Events Like This Matter
Chicago’s firefighters put themselves on the line every day to protect our neighborhoods, businesses, and families.
Most of us never think twice when we dial 911 because we know someone will answer the call. Events like this are an opportunity for the community to return that support when a firefighter’s family needs it.
At Tommy’s, we’ve always appreciated the relationships we’ve built with first responders, firefighters, police officers, and local residents. That’s one reason these fundraisers mean so much to us.
The response from the community during previous fundraising events has been incredible, and we’re hoping to see that same support again on July 11.

Tommy’s is open everyday from 11am to 2am, and the kitchen is open till 10pm. Whether you’re looking for a midday break or a late-night hangout, we’ve got you covered.
Is Tommy’s family-friendly?
While Tommy’s is primarily a bar, we welcome guests of all ages during daytime hours to enjoy our delicious food. However, evenings are geared more toward an adult crowd.
Do you have vegetarian or vegan menu options?
Yes! We have several vegetarian-friendly options, including our hummus plate, mozzarella sticks, mac & cheese wedges, and a variety of salads that can be customized. Our cheese quesadilla and veggie-loaded thin-crust pizza are also great choices. While we don’t have a dedicated vegan menu, some items may be modified—just ask your server, and we’ll do our best to accommodate!
